Hello!
I’m paulamcg on Tumblr and on Livejournal, too, and PaulaMcG on AO3, where you can find almost all my fanworks (here: https://archiveofourown.org/users/PaulaMcG/works).

I've been called PaulaMcG ever since I entered the Harry Potter fandom in 2003, because back then I thought that, like Minerva McGonagall, I was not exactly young, and because I loved a couple of poets called Paul and considered it appopriate to adapt the name to my gender. Still she, but I'm fine with any pronouns. And why not call me simply P.

I still write (and very rarely share a piece of fanart) only in the Harry Potter fandom. After returning from an eight-year hiatus in early 2019, I've been happy to make friends also with people who aren't active in my fandom, and I've occasionally read even stories based on such canons which I don't know at all. I enjoy all discussion on fics and on writing in general, and also seeing posts about anything else, even though myself, I constantly fail to share much about my so-called real life.

In my posts I mainly share fic. I sometimes write about fests or fill in writing memes.

I'm not likely to grant access to a new friend immediately, but almost all my posts are public.

If you subscribe to me, I'll most probably subscribe to you, too. It's enough that I can imagine there's a reason for us to be interested in each other's journals, but it's lovely if you send a message or comment... anywhere, as I've got no sticky post for that. I love interaction, but it's also wonderful to just know there's someone out there probably reading, and to follow whatever you post.

All my fanfiction is based only on the first five HP books, because I started writing fic soon after Order of the Phoenix was released, and I still want never to contradict anything I've written before. All my short stories somehow complement the big chaptered fic set in autumn 1996 (Remus Lupin and the Revolt of the Creatures) which I wrote in 2003 – 2010. However, each of my fics can be read separately. While the Marauders have been my favourites, I write about other characters, too, and I can enjoy any characters, any pairings and any genres in HP fanworks.

I love both giving and receiving feedback. I’m sure to reply to any comments on my fic anywhere, as well as any comments on my other journal posts.
